Maja Budzarov, MA, was born in Novi Sad. She studied at the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design – Department of Ceramics in Belgrade. Maja is assistant professor at the Faculty for Digital Production, University Educons, Sremska Kamenica, Serbia.
Since 1992 Maja had numerous solo and group exhibitions of her ceramics works in different countries, such as: Serbia, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Czech Republic, Germany and The Netherlands.
Since 1995 Maja holds the membership at the Association of Artists in Applied Arts and Design of Vojvodina [UPIDIV – member of Ico-D] in Novi Sad.
Maja used different ceramic techniques in her art expression such as: porcelain, rakoo, stoneware.
Numerous of her works are in galleries, private collections and office buildings (the monumental interior ceramics).
Since January 2003 Maja is working together with Predrag Sidjanin at their mutual art project called MP_art by using performance, installation as well as digital images, sound installations, web art and video in combination with traditional art media such as paintings, glass and ceramic (www.mpart.rs).
Maja is co-founder of the FIRST EDITION.
